You will spend more waking hours at your desk than anywhere else in your home except your bed. Most people furnish it last, and with whatever was cheapest at the time.

STANDO exists for the moment you decide to stop doing that.

The gap we set out to fill

Desk hardware has long been split into two extremes.

At one end: molded plastic that costs less than lunch, arrives in a week, and looks exactly like what it cost. It does the job. It also quietly makes the room feel temporary.

At the other end: beautifully made studio pieces at four hundred dollars for a monitor riser. Genuinely wonderful objects, and completely out of reach for the vast majority of people who simply want their screen at the right height and their cables out of sight.

Almost nothing sensible lived in between. That middle — real materials, restrained design, prices between roughly thirty and one hundred eighty dollars — is the whole of what we do.

What we believe

Material is the product

At this price, almost every object in the category shares the same shape. What separates one from another is what it is made from and how it was finished. So we work in black walnut, natural and white oak, natural and carbonized bamboo, machined aluminum, powder-coated steel, brushed brass, vegan leather and merino-feel felt — and we name the material on every product page, because it is the specification that actually matters.

Eye level is not a luxury

A monitor sitting flat on a desk asks your neck to hold the weight of your head at an angle for eight hours a day. That is not a preference or an aesthetic. It is the most common, most fixable ergonomic problem in home offices, and it costs less to solve than a decent office chair's armrest.

A desk should be edited, not decorated

The best workspaces are not the ones with the most on them. They are the ones where every object has a reason and a place. Our range is built to reduce what is on your desk, not to add to it — risers that create storage underneath, drawers that move things below the surface, boxes that swallow the cables you were never supposed to see.

Buy once, at a price that makes sense

Solid wood and machined metal outlast the desk they sit on. We would rather sell you one walnut riser you keep for a decade than three plastic ones over the same period. That is also why most pieces come in more than one finish and, where it matters, more than one size — a piece you can match to the desk you already own is a piece you do not replace.

How a piece earns a place in the range

We are deliberately narrow. Fourteen kinds of desk hardware, and nothing that does not sit on, under, or beside a desk. Before anything joins the range it has to clear four things:

  1. A material we will name. If we cannot describe what it is made of in one specific word — walnut, bamboo, anodized aluminum, powder-coated steel — it does not go in.
  2. A reason to exist. It has to solve a real desk problem: height, surface area, storage, cable chaos, or wrist comfort. Novelty is not a reason.
  3. Finish options. Almost everything ships in at least two finishes, so you can hold one wood tone and one metal tone across an entire desk instead of assembling a patchwork.
  4. A price that stays in the middle. If it cannot land in our range without cutting the material back to plastic, we would rather not carry it.

That standard is why the catalog is the size it is, and why you will not find a hundred variations of the same tray here.

What we make

The range is organized around the four things a desk actually needs.

  • Risers & Stands — monitor risers, gas-spring arms, laptop and device stands. Get the screen to eye level and reclaim the surface underneath it.
  • Desks & Surfaces — height-adjustable workstations in three widths, vegan leather and felt desk pads, and hand-finished walnut wrist rests. The layer everything else sits on.
  • Storage & Organization — under-desk drawers, cantilevered shelves, sectioned trays and weighted pen vessels. Somewhere for every object to live that is not the desk.
  • Charging & Cable — solid wood wireless charging stands, weighted cable boxes and headphone perches. Power, without the tangle.
